I'm leaving tomorrow night on the orange ferry. I can't believe it's so soon! I haven't started to pack yet.. I'll be doing that today. We have a national holiday so I can spend the whole day preparing (or THINKING I have the whole day and then all of a sudden it's 11pm and I still haven't started)
I should be like Santa. Make a list and check it twice.
IMPORTANTs
passport, visa (just need my passport! yay Canada)
MONEY
I paid a 30% deposit for volunteering so I won't have to bring the full fee. I need to figure out how much money I want to bring. I'll be exchanging yen at the airport. It's a little stressful to do it right before I leave Japan, but I heard it was the best exchange rate I can get.
TICKETS
Bus + Ferry: Check
Airplane: E-ticket
CLOTHES
It's 10°C here, dropping to 2-5°C at night time. I don't have to bring my winter jacket to Thailand, so I'll just have to tough it out until I leave the country! In Thailand, it'll be around 30°C but the culture is very conservative. I can't wear less than shorts and t-shirts. If I plan to go to the Grand Palace, I have to make sure my shoulders and even my knees are covered. I'll probably do some laundry at the park so I don't have to bring so many clothes.
CAMERA
I decided that I'm going to bring both my cameras. I hope nothing gets stolen or broken! Can't forget the chargers, and extra memory card either.
MEDICINE
benadryl, advil, anti-inflammatory cream
Elephant Foundation Recommended
towel, toiletries, flashlight (extra batteries, still need to buy these), mosquito repellent, rain gear, sunscreen, closed toe shoes, sandals/flip flops
TONIGHT: Sleep! It's 4am..
TOMORROW: finish packing, buy snacks (ottotto!), buy stickers (to make my camera look ugly so no one will steal it? haha), buy extra batteries for flashlight, make photocopies of flight ticket and passport, take out extra money, pick up the return bus ticket, charge all electronics, take out the trash
